In our Industry architecture 4.0, CAPTOR was the first tool, the cornerstone if you like, and the foundation on which we build the rest of the tools in that architecture. After the implementation of CAPTOR we saw two big impacts: the first one at a personal level, people’s work went from on-paper to on-screen, which they valued very highly. And in terms of the quality and reliability of the information we also saw major improvements, since we went from using data collected historically to data collected in real time.

We installed CAPTOR because we needed a tool that would help us to get real time answers about what was happening in the factory. To look for improvements in those problems that we sensed were happening but were unable to quantify. Now that we have the CAPTOR tool we are much more efficient and flexible in getting to the root of the problem and nipping it in the bud with the precise resources needed. CAPTOR allows us to comply with pharmaceutical regulations better as well because it has allowed us to implement more effective in-process controls automatically. No more trying to decipher operators’ handwriting!
